CHIROPRACTIC

Chiropractic is the profession that deals with correcting and preventing alterations of the musculoskeletal system, and the effects that these disorders produce on the function of the nervous system and on health in general. It places special emphasis on the inherent healing capacity of the organism and on the predominance of the nervous system in relation to the other systems in terms of controlling the general balance of the human body. The corrections are fundamentally manual, the specific manual vertebral adjustment being a unique feature of our profession.

Starting from the basis that for a Chiropractor the Brain and Nervous System control the body, they will always look here for the root of our health and make it grow to its optimum level. The nervous system can be compared to a sophisticated computer that processes and transmits information between the brain and the body and vice versa. Chiropractors are specialists in removing the interferences that the brain can find in its communication to the body when the mismatches at the vertebral level prevent it from working at an optimal level.

Chiropractic is not intended to treat specific diseases or conditions, but to correct deficiencies in spinal movement and subluxations to improve the function of the nervous system, an essential factor in helping the body achieve a healthy state. It is a palliative but not therapeutic service.

Traditionally it deals with the detection, analysis and correction of subluxation but today, it has been developed more with different specific techniques to work not only with subluxation but with the patient’s comprehensive health.

Chiropractic is recognized by the World Health Organization (WHO), and with more than 25 million annual visits, it is the third primary health care profession in the world, after Medicine and Dentistry in terms of number of people. who benefit from it, and the fastest growing one.

  What is a SUBLUXATION?

A vertebral subluxation occurs when one or more spinal vertebrae lose their alignment. This causes interference to the spinal cord or spinal nerves there and directly affects the nervous system and possibly related areas of the body that are controlled by the nervous system.

In 90% of cases, subluxation does not produce physical pain since only 10% of the nerves are associated with pain fibers. However, its damaging effect is immediate, weakening the body and its performance at all levels. The purpose of the nervous system is to control and coordinate the functions of each system, organ, tissue and cell of the body, in order to maintain 100% the state of health and well-being. It is also up to the nervous system to send messages to and from the brain, maintaining open communication between the brain and all the cells, systems, tissues, etc. of the body.

A subluxation can alter or impede the normal flow of nerve impulses from the brain to the rest of the body. Over time, vertebral subluxation can cause “discomfort,” because it prevents the body and its systems (digestive, immune, respiratory, etc.) from performing their function to their fullest potential. The chiropractor is responsible for finding and correcting the vertebral subluxation and thus restoring the body’s innate capacity for recovery. Once the subluxation has been corrected, the patient’s nervous system will improve, allowing him to start a better quality of life and health!

WHERE do Subluxations come from?

Daily life with its three main types of stress. The accumulation of multiple stressors that we face on a daily basis are the cause of subluxations. When we are under constant stress, the body initiates a series of compensation mechanisms (subluxations) to be able to endure such stress and assimilate it. It is a natural and animal strategy of understandable short-term survival. The problem begins when these subluxations are chronic and constant in our lives.

Physical

The easiest to understand. Directly related to falls, work postures, bad postural habits, uncontrolled sports overexertion, etc. We must not forget that childbirth itself is already a physical stress in the first days of our life, such as falls when learning to walk or learning to ride a bicycle

Chemical

“We are what we eat” We must be aware that everything we give to the body can have a significant impact on our body in the short or long term. This stress is related to diet, dehydration, alcohol, tobacco, pollution, side effects of vaccines, taking too many medications, etc … All these behaviors markedly decrease the functioning of the nervous system.

Emotional

An accident, an assault, a separation, the death of a loved one, the stress of work etc … cause a major blockage in the structure and can condition your behavior and health for life. The accumulation of emotional stress excessively works the sympathetic nervous system which carries blood to the muscles but not to the brain! Leading us to act by inertia without thinking, to be in constant struggle with ourselves. In this state it is fear, frustration and guilt that guide our lives. According to many specialists, this type of behavior can be a major cause of cancer.
